The Padukka - Seethawaka Joint Tourism Sub-Committee was held on 2025/11/17 at 2.00 pm at the Padukka Pradeshiya Sabha Secretariat Auditorium under the patronage of the Hon. Chairman of the Padukka and Seethawaka Coordinating Committee, Hon. Chandana Suriya Arachchi.
The Hon. Members of the Pinnawala and Bope divisions of the Seethawaka Pradeshiya Sabha also participated in this event.
Padukka Divisional Secretary H. Ashani Niranga,Piyasumana sithawaka Divisional Secretary W. Madhusha. R. Weerakkody and Assistant Director (Planning) officers participated in this event. This tourism sub-committee agreed to function as a sub-committee of the two regional coordination committees and to work with an integrated approach to the natural and historical potential of the two regional secretariat divisions and to work together with all relevant government agencies to make it a tourist destination by attracting local and foreign tourists. Among the government agencies represented in the participation were:

*National Water Supply Board - Labugama and Kalatuwawa Reservoirs
* Engineering * Archaeological Sites * Land Reforms Board * Site Forest Office * Seethawaka Botanical Gardens
* Railway Department *
Sri Lanka Transport Board *
Many institutions participated. The attention of the Committee Chairman to include police stations Community Empowerment Officers and subject-related field officers from the Padukka and Seethawaka Tourism Divisions participated.
