Directing young people who have dropped out of school and lost their education in Padukka Division to the vocational training course.
In conjunction with the Rural Economic Revitalization Program, this programme was held at Padukka Divisional Secretariat Auditorium on 23.11.2022 under the chairmanship of Colombo District Secretary Mr. Pradeep Yasaratne.
According to the concept of Mr. Sugath Sisira Kumara, Padukka Divisional Secretary and on his advice and guidance, this programme was implemented under the supervision of Ms. Madhusha Weerakkodi, Padukka Assistant Divisional Secretary, and the coordination and organization of this programme was done by Mr. Samantha Peiris, Padukka Skill Development Officer.
Here, the orientation of new students for 3 vocational training institutes, registration and courses were introduced. ..
Representing the institution, Mr. AKB Abeywickrama, Program Officer, Vocational Training Authority (VTA),Mr. K. D. D. I. Wimalanath, Training Inspector, National Apprenticeship and Industrial Training Authority (NITA),Career Guidance Officer Mrs. Sagarika Abeysekera Technical College Homagama and Mrs. MA Kumari Skill Development Officer District Secretariat Colombo participated and successfully selected the most suitable course for the students.
