Coconut seedlings and vegetable seed packets were distributed to 155 Samurdhi beneficiaries on 09.09.2021 in line with the National Home Gardening Programme to Improve Home Economy and Nutrition and Empower Family Units .

The inauguration ceremony was held at 10.00 am under the patronage of Padukka Divisional Secretary Sugath Sisira Kumara.Mrs. Vijitha Hemali, Zonal Manager and Mr. S.R. Mr. Premaratne, Headquarters Manager Anoma Rohini, Project Manager Mrs. Kumari Gunawardena and Regional Samurdhi Development Officers. Simultaneously, plants were distributed in Thummodara, Pitumpe and Liyanwala areas.
